Financial Support

Cost should not decide your treatment

Our counsellors work through insurance, government schemes, assistance and payment plans with you — so the plan your oncologist recommends is the one you can afford to start.

Where the money can come from

Most patients use more than one. The first conversation works out which.

  • Your health insurance

The largest source of cover, and the most under-claimed.

    • We read your policy and tell you plainly what it covers
    • Daycare chemotherapy is covered by most modern policies — no 24-hour admission needed
    • We handle pre-authorisation and the follow-ups with your insurer or TPA
    • Cashless where your insurer allows it, reimbursement where it does not
  • Government schemes

National and state programmes that fund cancer treatment.

    • We find which you qualify for and file the application with you
    • Many can be combined with insurance
    • The schemes themselves are named below
  • Charitable and NGO assistance

Trusts and funds that cover part of the cost.

    • Referrals to cancer-focused trusts and foundations
    • Help writing and documenting the application
    • Usually what closes the gap after insurance and schemes
  • Payment plans and medical loans

Whatever is left, spread over time.

    • 0% interest medical loans through verified lending partners
    • Instalment plans structured around your treatment cycles
    • Applied for while treatment is being planned, not after it starts

How it works

Three steps, starting with a conversation

Counsellor mapping the funding routes
  1. Talk to a counsellorYour diagnosis, your policy if you have one, your situation. Bring nothing.
  2. We map every optionA written picture of what insurance covers, what you qualify for, and what is left to fund.
  3. We file, you start treatmentWe file and chase the paperwork, so funding runs alongside treatment instead of delaying it.
What to keep ready

Documents that speed everything up

Not needed for the first conversation — useful once you know which routes apply.

  • Diagnosis and biopsy or pathology reports
  • The treatment plan your oncologist has recommended
  • Your insurance policy document and card, if you have one
  • Photo ID and address proof for the patient
  • Income certificate, for scheme and assistance applications
  • Ration card or BPL certificate, where a scheme requires it
Reports and policy papers ready to file

Common questions

Can’t find your answer?

Our care team will talk it through with you.

Does this cost anything?

No. Financial counselling at Everhope is part of your care, not a separate service you pay for.

I do not have health insurance. Is there still anything for me?

Yes. Government schemes, charitable assistance and payment plans all exist for exactly this situation, and are the routes our counsellors spend most of their time on.

Will sorting out the money delay my treatment?

It should not. Pre-authorisation and scheme applications are started while your treatment is still being planned, so the two run alongside each other.

Is daycare chemotherapy covered by insurance?

Under most current policies, yes. Daycare treatment no longer requires a 24-hour hospital admission to be claimable, though the details vary by policy — which is the first thing we check for you.

Can I combine a government scheme with my insurance?

Often, yes, depending on the scheme and the policy. Working out the right order to claim in is part of what the counsellor does.

What if there is still a gap after everything?

That is what the payment plans are for. Tell the counsellor the number you can manage each month and the plan is structured around it.
